Don’t miss “Reflections”

We’re halfway through the takeover!

With everything upside down everywhere you look this year, we decided to shake things up a little bit on our Collectively Speaking blog as well by turning the keys over to our Creative Strategist, Erika Roberts. Our placed-based work is always artist-driven, and while we can’t yet gather around creating safe and inviting places together, we still value the view when seeing things through an artist’s eyes.

The series, Blog Takeover + Reflection featuring Glass House Collective Creative Strategist, Erika Roberts, has been a weekly feature released every Friday on social media for the last four weeks and it is giving us life!

Many of you may know Erika through Velvet Poetry events over the years. She joined our team as Creative Strategist in 2019 and she is a creative force! With words written and spoken, she brings power to her art using her strongest tools: language and love. In this new blog takeover series, Erika not only gives us a look into what it’s like to be a fierce collaborator forced to work from a distance during a global pandemic and so much unrest, but she also shares some powerful and personal poetry peppered with reminders to simply pause, breathe or spend a moment working a positivity puzzle.

The series also features a selection of weekly sharable pull-outs that are designed to zoom in on excerpts that are particularly timeless, timely, and so on target. Be sure to follow our Insta stories and you’ll see what we mean!

Beginning in July, Erika’s series will take a turn toward her teammates at GHC, introducing the collective with a fresh twist that only Erika can provide. We can’t wait!

We hope you will take some time to read these personal installments and that these reflections resonate.
