East Chattanooga Reunion

We love to see positive events succeed among our neighbors! Channel 3 provided great coverage about the East Chatt Reunion on Saturday. We are THRILLED to have strong leadership stand up and organize such a positive event. Go Boyce Station Neighborhood Association. We are your biggest cheerleaders!

Some of the highlights included a historical overview of the area formerly known as “Boycetown,” the East Gate Line Dancers, a performance by KB-positive rap artist, motivational speech emphasizing the inability to change what we do not acknowledge. Outside a police community trailer and firetruck set up outside for kids to investigate, and a waterslide made it easier to beat the August heat. Community puppet artists, Michael and Colleen, affiliated with the Shaking Ray Levi Society brought materials to try out with the kids, drawing on their creativity to facilitate regular puppet sculpting gatherings in the area.

Friends and neighbors were pleased with the turnout and opportunity to gather and reminisce, while also keeping an eye out for ensuring a peaceful future for their communities.
