East Chatt Highlight Festival
A whole weekend festival bringing music and lights together during DAY and NIGHT is taking place April 21-23 at the site of the former Harriet Tubman housing, at 1901 Roanoke Ave., across from Hope for the Inner City.
The East Chatt Highlight Festival is presented by Glass House Collective and Empower (green|spaces) and features “The Pool,” an interactive lighted art exhibit where all ages are encouraged to come out to play, dance and move as the colors change with and around them. We are ready and EXCITED!
On Friday, April 21st we will kick off the weekend at 7:30pm with “Lyrical Lights,” a Hip-Hop and Spoken Word showcase featuring a talented array of local Chattanooga poets and musicians.
On both Saturday and Sunday, we will begin the festivities at 3pm. On Saturday, Glass House Collective is hosting Gospel on Glass featuring Marcellus Barns with Unity Performing Arts Foundation. Hope for the Inner City will have their open house and plant sale.
On Sunday, we are inviting the entire community to join us in a family friendly picnic with bounce houses, resource booths, food trucks, games, and fun.
The POOL interactive light exhibit and DJ will begin at 7:30 and end around 10:30 on Saturday and Sunday night.
